Many gardeners who live in this part of the country are unaware of the many landscape possibilities that native plants provide. We like to utilize plants and trees that bring out the beauty and color of the true desert landscape, such as the Baja Fairyduster, a beautiful native plant of Baja California, the Blackfoot Daisy, or the Calylophus (pronounced ka-lee-LOW-fuss) a kin to the evening primrose, and a hardy native of the Southwest, whose yellow flowers open at sunset and stay open until noon.
